Kambo and Earth Medicine Testimonials
As I sit in reflection preparing to write this, I am humbled that this story is actually mine to tell and that I am still alive to tell it. I am grateful.
I joined the Marine Corps when I was 18 years old and served 20 years as a combat infantryman. During this time I participated in the liberation of Panama, the liberation of Kuwait, and operation Iraqi freedom. I went on to serve in the intelligence community for an additional 10 years and served three tours in Afghanistan.
And then it all came crashing down. Multiple wars with multiple tours became physical pain, nightmares, anxiety, and depression. Before long I found myself unemployed and on a cocktail of prescription medications that only served to make things worse and caused horrible side effects. Hopeless, helpless, and in total despair I was ready call it quits… to give up. As a last ditch effort I traveled with a fellow Marine to the Austin Texas, several months ago to participate in three days of holistic ritual healing ceremonies. This is where my life’s story changed forever.
Upon my arrival I was met at the door by Dani Amelio whom I now refer to as my “soul healing, mind and heart reading, energy alchemist.” A beautiful ball of warm energy with a radiant smile, I was certainly caught off guard. Participating in this type of treatment was way outside the norm for me and to be honest, I was scared. Dani immediately sensed it and worked quickly to make me feel welcome and at home. Her calm intuitiveness cannot be overstated. Whether she was administering medicines, performing ceremonies, or simply holding space for me, she consistently had the right words for the right moments that were integral to my healing journey. She laughed with me, she cried with me, and every step of the way she helped me “just know” that everything was going to be ok. I have never experienced another human being with such a powerful gift of connecting with someone’s energy, coupled with the expertise and perception to gently and lovingly guide a person down a difficult healing path. Even during body work, Dani effortlessly gravitated directly to the spots in my back that were holding negative energy, pain and emotion, and worked to realign it. To say that I am in awe of her abilities as a healer is an understatement and I am grateful that she has selflessly answered her calling and embraced her gift. Three days in Austin under Dani’s loving care changed my life forever and I am excited to once again look forward to each day! No longer just surviving… but thriving!
I remain in touch with Dani to this day as she assists me with my reintegration, never telling me what I need to do but instead offering thought provoking insights that lead me down the right path. I have always been a believer that when you have a genuine need, and you have faith, the universe will provide.

Immediately upon meeting Dani, and entering her space, I knew that I had made the right decision in choosing a Kambo practitioner.
I have experienced Kambo about 10 times with several different practitioners and have had very mixed experiences. This is a strong medicine, and therefore choosing the right person to sit with his key.
Dani’s energy was grounding, peaceful, and unconditionally supportive. I felt that I could really trust her, and therefore, had a much deeper, profound, and clearing session than I was expecting. She was graceful with her balance of of having me push myself a bit, but not too far. I felt much lighter and clearer both spiritually, and physically after the session.

I have experienced Kambo around 7 times in the last few years and had the most healing experience with Dani. This is the first time I have come to her in this setting as a client, but have watched her in ceremony a handful of times. Dani has many gifts and the amount of time, patience and attention she gives to not only me, but to others that I have seen her work with is unique. She genuinely cares about me and those she is working with. The initial process is also very thorough and includes a process that many practitioners skip. As a nurse for 20 years, I have seen many people come to ceremony ill prepared by those leading the ceremony. This is not the case with Dani. My overall experience was profound, even though describing spiritual encounters has always been a challenge for me. Prior to the ceremony, I felt content and holistically balanced. Working with Dani was the most transformational container of my life. I spent over 10k in coaching last year before working with Dani, and felt I was very “self aware”, yet still yearning to feel actual change in my life. I had tons of tools in my head, but felt there was something missing: the actual embodiment of a new me.
